No shocking result in a game when third ranked Basquet Mallorca (11-4) beat at home 10th ranked Prat Juventud (6-9) 72-66 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-66. Quite impressive performance for guard Israel Pampin (192-79) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 assists. The former international center Ismael Torres (202-79) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Forward Cesar Bravo (200-81) replied with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Joan Tomas (201-92) added 13 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Prat Juventud. Four Prat Juventud players scored in double figures. Prat Juventud's coach Carles Duran let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Basquet Mallorca maintains third position with 11-4 record behind leader Clavijo. Loser Prat Juventud dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Basquet Mallorca will face bottom-ranked CB Illescas (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Prat Juventud will play against Feve Oviedo (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
