Very expected game when 16th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (2-10) lost to twelfth ranked Shandong Bulls (6-6) in Jinan 90-97 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 34-24. But TianJin Rongcheng won second period 21-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Shandong Bulls won last quarter 27-22. They made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for American forward Rodney White (206-80, college: Charlotte) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Gang Wang (185-83) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks and American power forward Lee Benson (208-73, college: Brown Mackie, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 23 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for TianJin Rongcheng. Five Shandong Bulls and four TianJin Rongcheng players scored in double figures. TianJin Rongcheng's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shandong Bulls moved-up to ninth place. TianJin Rongcheng lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. Shandong Bulls will face league's second-placed DongGuan Leopards on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TianJin Rongcheng will play against the league's second-placed DongGuan Leopards (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
