LigaA round 20 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader Atenas (4-1) against second ranked La Union (5-1) 97-84 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Atenas. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by La Union. Atenas managed to win fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. La Union dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Atenas' 34. American guard David Jackson (196-82, college: Penn St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Atenas will play next round against Regatas Corrientes trying to make it back to the top of the standings. La Union will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Obras in Buenos Aires.
