Regular Season Round 18: Caceres - Forca Lleida 90-75
Date: January 9, 2011
No shocking result in a game when third ranked Caceres 2016 (13-5) beat at home 10th ranked Lleida Basquet (8-10) 90-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Caceres 2016. Lleida Basquet managed to win fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Ryan Humphrey (203-79, college: Notre Dame, agency: Priority Sports) notched 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American-Cape Verdean guard Jeffrey Xavier (185-85, college: Providence, agency: BrezoPro) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds by American swingman Mildon Ambres (198-84, college: S.Nazarene, agency: Impact Basketball) did not help to save the game for Lleida Basquet. Ghanian guard Alhaji Mohammed (192-81, college: Louisville, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Caceres 2016 and five Lleida Basquet players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Caceres 2016 has a solid four-game winning streak. Caceres 2016 maintains third position with 13-5 record having just three points less than leader Obradoiro, which they share with Leon and Burgos. Loser Lleida Basquet dropped to the ninth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Girona and La Palma. Caceres 2016 will meet Ford Burgos (#4) on the road in the next round. Lleida Basquet will play against Grupo Iruna Navarra (#6) in Pamplona and hope to secure a win.
