Very predictable result in Lappeenranta where fourth ranked UU-Korihait (16-10) defeated 11th ranked LrNMKY (6-20) 80-71. It looked good early as LrNMKY took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then UU-Korihait had a 23-11 second period charge getting the lead and LrNMKY was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-80. 25 personal fouls committed by LrNMKY helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Lawrence Wright (195-84, college: Bradley) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Bosnian guard Bojan Sarcevic (190-88) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners.
