Important game to mention about took place in Santurtzi. Fourth ranked ADT Tarragona (10-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Santurtzi (6-9) 88-86 on Sunday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Santurtzi won third quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of center Eduard Riu (202-82) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds and guard Jose Antonio Marco (180-89) who added 18 points during the contest. At the losing side Czech center Tomas Hampl (215-88) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Brazilian center Renan Leichtweis (207-89) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four ADT Tarragona and five Santurtzi players scored in double figures. Santurtzi's coach Pepe Carrion rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ADT Tarragona has a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 10-5 record. Santurtzi at the other side dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. ADT Tarragona will play against Fontedoso Carrefour (#7) in Avila in the next round. Santurtzi will play on the road against Promobys Tijola and hopes to get back on the winning track.
