We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Catz Lappeenranta (9-7) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Forssan Alku (9-7) 46-38. Catz Lappeenranta was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 13-2 charge of Forssan Alku, which allowed them to win the game. Forssan Alku dominated on the defensive end, holding Catz Lappeenranta to just 2 points in fourth quarter and to 14 points in second half. The winners were led by center Juta Jahilo (186-84) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Judy Wright (172-84) supported her with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds by Estonian forward Kerttu Jallai (179-90) did not help to save the game for Catz Lappeenranta. Russian center Elizaveta Kityzina (195-80) added 6 points and 15 rebounds for lost side. Forssan Alku moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Catz. Forssan Alku will play against league's leader Peli-Karhut in Kotka in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Catz Lappeenranta will play at home against the league's second-placed Espoo Team and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
