Regular Season Round 14: Zhejiang CB - Beijing Ducks 94-78

An interesting game took place in Hangzhou where higher ranked Beijing Ducks (8-6) were upseton the court of eleventh ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (6-7) 94-78. The game was mostly controlled by Zhejiang Cyclones. Beijing Ducks managed to win second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zhejiang Cyclones made 22-of-25 charity shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Zhejiang Cyclones outrebounded Beijing Ducks 47-35 including 37 on the defensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Beijing Ducks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds. The other American import forward Marcus Williams (201-86, college: Arizona, agency: ZAG Advocates) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Four Zhejiang Cyclones players scored in double figures. American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and guard LiBin Xie (190-88) added 20 points in the effort for Beijing Ducks. Beijing Ducks' coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Zhejiang Cyclones moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Shandong. Beijing Ducks at the other side keep the sixth position with six games lost. Zhejiang Cyclones' next round opponent will be league's leader Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
