Regular Season Round 7: Djuro Djakovic - Levski Sofia 74-107

Second ranked Bulgarian Levski blasted bottom-ranked Croatian Svjetlost (0-6) in Slavonski Brod 107-74. Svjetlost is still unable to win any game. The game was mostly controlled by Levski. Svjetlost managed to win third quarter 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Levski dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Svjetlost's 38. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American swingman Aaron Harper (199-81, college: Mississippi, agency: Strategic Sports) fired 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import center Donald Cole (204-81, college: Sam Houston St., agency: Edge Sports) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Igor Maric (196-85) produced 20 points and 8 rebounds and guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) added 14 points and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Levski has a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of Group A leader. Svjetlost at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Levski's next round opponent will be league's second-placed OKK Beograd at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Svjetlost will play against Zrinjski HT in Mostar and hopes to get finally their first victory.
