Regular Season Round 14: Hapoel Beeri - Elitzur Ramla 91-97

Everything could happen in Beer-Shev at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Elitzur Ramla and 12th ranked Hapoel Beeri had identical 3-10 record. But Hapoel Beeri was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Ramla 97-91 on Tuesday night. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 97-91. It was a great shooting night for Elitzur Ramla especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. American forward David Paris (205-84, college: Bowie St.) scored 29 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Dror Davidi (190-84) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Four Elitzur Ramla players scored in double figures. American forward Stacey Moragne (195-83, college: Mass.-Lowell) responded with 39 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and forward Daniel Aidan (204-89) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Elitzur Ramla (4-10) moved-up to twelfth place. Hapoel Beeri lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Elitzur Ramla will meet higher ranked Hod Hasharon (#11) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hapoel Beeri will play against Megido/Yokneam and hope to secure a win.
