Regular Season Round 19: Leon - Breogan 80-74
Date: January 14, 2011
Very expected game when 12th ranked Leche Rio Breogan (7-12) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Baloncesto Leon (14-5) 80-74 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 25-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Leche Rio Breogan was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Kahiem Seawright (203-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: Impact Basketball) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). American-Dominican guard Emmanuel Quezada (188-85, college: USF) helped adding 18 points and 5 assists. Four Baloncesto Leon and five Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. Leche Rio Breogan's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Baloncesto Leon. Baloncesto Leon moved-up to third place, which they share with Burgos. Loser Leche Rio Breogan dropped to the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Baloncesto Leon will face bottom-ranked Ourense (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
