Very expected game in Bydgoszcz where 14th ranked Astoria (4-12) was defeated by fourth ranked Rosasport (12-4) 81-69 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 29-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Artur Donigiewicz (185-84) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners and the former international forward Pawel Wiekiera (206-78) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Rosasport players scored in double figures. Center Lukasz Paul (206-89) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and forward Dorian Szyttenholm (194-83) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Rosasport moved-up to second place, which they share with Sokol Lancut. Astoria at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Rosasport will face bottom-ranked Olimp MKS Start Lublin (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Astoria will play against MKS Znicz Basket in Pruszkow.
