There was no surprise in Bydgoszcz where 10th ranked Inea AZS (4-13) was defeated by seventh ranked Artego (9-8) 78-69. Inea AZS was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Artego made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Strangely Inea AZS outrebounded Artego 40-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Inea AZS helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Agnieszka Szott (184-82, agency: Data Plus Group) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and American power forward Lori Crisman (186-82, college: W.Michigan) supported her with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by the former international forward Elzbieta Mowlik (180-83, agency: Data Plus Group) did not help to save the game for Inea AZS. Center Joanna Kedzia (193-87) added 12 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Artego and five Inea AZS players scored in double figures. Artego maintains seventh position with 9-8 record. Inea AZS lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 13 games lost. Artego's next round opponent will be higher ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (#3) in Gorzow Wlkp. and it may be quite challenging game. Inea AZS will play at home against Super-Pol (#9) in Leszno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
