We should mention about the upset which took place in Bidart, where higher ranked Etendard de Brest (10-8) lost to twelfth ranked Denek (9-9) in a road game 89-93 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Etendard de Brest. Etendard de Brest was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 27-22 charge of Denek, which allowed them to win the game. They shot 62.3 percent from the field and made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Larry Blair (183-84, college: Liberty, agency: JEMsports) who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Boris Elisabeth-Mesnager (201-83, college: California (PA)) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian forward Vaidotas Pridotkas (200-84) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Rolan Roberts (201-78, college: S.Illinois, agency: Warren Sports International) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Five Etendard de Brest players scored in double figures. Denek moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Blois and Souffel. Loser Etendard de Brest keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Denek will face bottom-ranked CFBB (#18) in Paris in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
