BJ League top team - Hamamatsu Phoenix (23-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Takamatsu FA (6-17) in Mikawa 106-83. The game without a history. Hamamatsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Hamamatsu Phoenix looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Jermaine Dixon (191-87, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 15 points and 10 assists during the contest. Hamamatsu Phoenix's coach Kazuo Nakamura felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Rasheed Sparks (190-77, college: Morgan St.) responded with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Makoto Kita (169-78) scored 20 points. Five Hamamatsu Phoenix and four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Hamamatsu Phoenix has a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-2 record. Takamatsu FA lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 17 games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix will face again Takamatsu FA (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Takamatsu FA will play against Tokyo Apache.
