Regular Season Round 26: Fukuoka Rizing - Akita NH 90-91

Another very close game took place in Fukuoka between Akita Happinets and Fukuoka Rizing. Sixth ranked Akita Happinets (9-16) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd ranked Fukuoka Rizing (15-12). Akita Happinets managed to escape with a 1-point win 91-90 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Fukuoka Rizing won third quarter 28-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Fukuoka Rizing 38-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. American guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska, agency: Impact Basketball) saved the victory by scoring 24 points and 4 assists. Nigerian forward Ayodokun Akingbade (207-84, college: George Washington) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. American swingman Michael Parker (200-81, college: Evergreen St.) replied with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks and his fellow American import guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) added 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Fukuoka Rizing. Akita Happinets maintains sixth position with 9-16 record. Fukuoka Rizing lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with 12 games lost. Akita Happinets will have a break next round. Fukuoka Rizing will play again at home against Akita Happinets.
