Very important is a road loss of second ranked Shiga Lakestars (16-10) against fifth ranked Kyoto Hannaryz (13-13) on Sunday night. Visiting Shiga Lakestars were crushed by Kyoto Hannaryz in Kyoto 105-84. The game was mostly controlled by Kyoto Hannaryz. Shiga Lakestars managed to win fourth quarter 29-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kyoto Hannaryz dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Shiga Lakestars' 50. Kyoto Hannaryz looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Kibwe Trim (208-84, college: Sacred Heart) helped adding 21 points and 14 rebounds. Five Kyoto Hannaryz players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Mikey Marshall (196-81, college: Texas Tech, agency: Warren Sports International) with 24 points and 7 rebounds and guard Masashi Joho (183-82) scored 21 points. Kyoto Hannaryz maintains fifth place with 13-13 record. Loser Shiga Lakestars keep the second position with ten games lost. Kyoto Hannaryz will meet Takamatsu FA (#9) on the road in the next round. Shiga Lakestars will play against Saitama Broncos (#5) and hope to secure a win.
