Regular Season Round 16: Shandong FB - Guangsha L. 90-97

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (9-6) beat 9th ranked Shandong Bulls (7-8) in Jinan 97-90 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Shandong Bulls won third quarter 28-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American-Puerto Rican center Peter John Ramos (222-85) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and center Wei Zhang (203-84) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Even 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Rodney White (206-80, college: Charlotte) did not help to save the game for Shandong Bulls. His fellow American import guard Myron Allen (180-79, college: Lee JC) added 18 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shandong Bulls' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions maintains sixth position with 9-6 record, which they share with Bayi. Loser Shandong Bulls keep the ninth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Qingdao DS. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will meet at home higher ranked Guandong Tigers (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Shandong Bulls will play against Zhejiang Cyclones (#12) in Hangzhou and hope to secure a win.
