Very expected game when 16th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (3-12) was smashed by seventh ranked Bayi Fubang (9-6) in Ningbo 93-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Bayi Fubang. TianJin Rongcheng managed to win second period 24-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bayi Fubang forced 21 TianJin Rongcheng turnovers. The winners were led by international forward Lei Wang (203-86) who scored that evening 22 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international center Ke Mo (210-82) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks by Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers) did not help to save the game for TianJin Rongcheng. American power forward Lee Benson (208-73, college: Brown Mackie, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 12 points and 17 rebounds for lost side. Five Bayi Fubang and four TianJin Rongcheng players scored in double figures. TianJin Rongcheng's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Bayi Fubang moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Zhejiang G.L. Loser TianJin Rongcheng dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. They share it with Jilin and Fujian. Bayi Fubang will meet league's second-placed DongGuan Leopards on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. TianJin Rongcheng will play against Jiangsu Dragons (#4) in Nanjing and hope to secure a win.
