There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Fileni BPA (6-10) lost to thirteenth ranked Trenkwalder RE (6-10) in Reggio Emilia 65-74 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 24-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Fileni BPA outrebounded Trenkwalder RE 44-24 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for American guard Dawan Robinson (189-82, college: Rhode Island) who helped to win the game recording 24 points. Swingman Matteo Frassineti (195-87) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Slovenian forward Marko Tusek (203-75, agency: Alti Sport) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the former international center Michele Maggioli (212-77) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Fileni BPA. Trenkwalder RE moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Fileni BPA and Assigeco. Trenkwalder RE will face Assigeco BPL (#11) in Lodi in the next round.
