CBA top team - Xinjiang Flying Tige (15-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (3-12) in Urumqi 103-80. The game was mostly controlled by Xinjiang Flying Tige. Jilin Tigers managed to win second period 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Xinjiang Flying Tige forced 20 Jilin Tigers turnovers. The winners were led by American guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) who scored that evening 29 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) supported him with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach XingQuan Jiang felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds by American power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) did not help to save the game for Jilin Tigers. Forward Tao Li (200-82) added 18 points for lost side. Five Xinjiang Flying Tige and four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-0 record. Jilin Tigers lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with TianJin R. and Fujian. Xinjiang Flying Tige will meet Liaoning Hunters (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jilin Tigers will play against Shandong Bulls (#9) in Jinan and hope to secure a win.
