Regular Season Round 15: EA7 Armani - Pesaro 94-84

Date: January 16, 2011
Very predictable result when second ranked Armani Milano (12-3) won at home against 7th ranked Scavolini Pesaro (7-8) 94-84 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Armani Milano. Scavolini Pesaro managed to win second period 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Scavolini Pesaro 34-20 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American-Bulgarian guard Ibrahim Jaaber (187-84, college: Pennsylvania, agency: 540 Sports) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard David Hawkins (194-82, college: Temple) contributed with 23 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Five Armani Milano players scored in double figures. Armani Milano's coach Dan Peterson used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international guard Daniel Hackett (196-87, college: USC) answered with 23 points and American guard Andre Collins (183-82, college: Loyola (MD)) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Scavolini Pesaro. The victory was the third consecutive win for Armani Milano. They maintain second place with 12-3 record having just two points less than leader Montepaschi. Loser Scavolini Pesaro dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Armani Milano will face bottom-ranked Banca Tercas (#16) in Teramo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Scavolini Pesaro will play at home against Cimberio Varese (#10).
