Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Qingdao Double Star and 11th ranked Zhejiang Cyclones had identical 6-8 record. This time Qingdao Double Star used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Hangzhou 113-102 on Sunday night. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals and guard Dee Brown (185-84, college: Illinois) supported him with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Even 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds by forward Marcus Williams (201-86, college: Arizona, agency: ZAG Advocates) did not help to save the game for Zhejiang Cyclones. Power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) added 18 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Four Zhejiang Cyclones players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Qingdao Double Star (7-8) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Shandong. Loser Zhejiang Cyclones keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Shanghai. Qingdao Double Star will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zhejiang Cyclones will play against Shandong Bulls (#9) in Jinan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
