Another exciting game was between eighth ranked Ironi Ramat Gan and 5th ranked Beer Yaakov where host Ironi Ramat Gan (7-8) won against Beer Yaakov (9-6) 103-99. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Beer Yaakov. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Beer Yaakov won fourth quarter 31-27. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ironi Ramat Gan players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Beer Yaakov was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Albert Fisher (184-86, college: Kent St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 assists and 4 steals. contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jermaine Hall (196-80, college: Wagner) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and American-Cape Verdean guard Joshua Gomes (190-83, college: E.Illinois) added 26 points in the effort for Beer Yaakov. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ironi Ramat Gan moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kohav Yair and Hapoel Afula. Beer Yaakov at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Megido/Yokneam and Hapoel Tivon. Ironi Ramat Gan will play against higher ranked Hapoel Tivon (#4) in Kiryat Tivon in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Beer Yaakov will play at home against Megido/Yokneam and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
