Very expected game when 16th ranked Stade Clermont (5-13) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Boulazac Basket (12-6) 67-59 on Tuesday. Stade Clermont trailed 30-28 at halftime, rallying from a 23-4 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Boulazac Basket dominated on the defensive end, holding Stade Clermont to just 4 points in first quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Amadi McKenzie (201-86) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Thomas Dubiez (195-80) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Boulazac Basket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard O'Darien Bassett (188-86, college: Troy) with 13 points and 6 assists and his fellow American import swingman Dreke Bouldin (202-80, college: Fresno St.) scored 12 points.
