The game between closely ranked teams ended with 14th ranked Tezenis Verona's (5-12) road loss to thirteenth ranked Fileni BPA (7-10) 88-95. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-17. But Tezenis Verona won second period 23-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fileni BPA made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. International power forward Andrea Renzi (208-89, agency: Players Group) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and American-German power forward Keith Waleskowski (204-80, college: Dayton) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tezenis Verona. Five Fileni BPA and four Tezenis Verona players scored in double figures. Fileni BPA moved-up to tenth place, which they share with N.Ferrara and Assigeco. Newly promoted Tezenis Verona keeps the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Fileni BPA's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Fastweb CM in Casale and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tezenis Verona will play at home against Assigeco BPL (#11) in Lodi.
