Regular Season Round 19: Tarvas - Parnu 87-90

The most exciting game of round 19 in the EMKL took place in Rakvere. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed BC Rakvere (11-10) to eighth ranked KK Parnu (5-14) 90-87 on Friday evening. BC Rakvere was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-20 charge of KK Parnu, which allowed them to win the game. 26 personal fouls committed by BC Rakvere helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Rannar Raap (187-92) fired 31 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Toomas Raadik (198-90) chipped in 24 points. Four KK Parnu players scored in double figures. American swingman Brett McGee (198-84, college: Mt.Mercy) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Matthew Hall (191-86, college: Stonehill) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. BC Rakvere's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KK Parnu maintains eighth place with 5-14 record. BC Rakvere at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. KK Parnu are looking forward to face league's second-placed Kalev/Cramo in Tallinn in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Rakvere will have a break next round.
