Regular Season Round 18: Coruna - Andorra 70-66

The most important game in the last round took place in Coruna between second ranked River Andorra (13-4) and fourteenth ranked Leyma Basquet (6-11) on Friday night. River Andorra was defeated by Leyma Basquet in a tough game on the road 66-70. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of River Andorra. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Kim Adams (203-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Strategic Sports) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). The other American import swingman Kyle Ohman (193, college: Liberty) chipped in 16 points and 4 steals. Leyma Basquet's coach Antonio Perez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Justin Howard (208-81, college: Mercer) who recorded 11 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Andreu Matali (204-81) added 19 points respectively. Five Leyma Basquet and four River Andorra players scored in double figures. Leyma Basquet moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Santurtzi and Lan Mobel ISB. River Andorra at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Mallorca. Leyma Basquet is looking forward to face higher ranked Prat Juventud (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. River Andorra will play against Santurtzi (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
