Very expected game in Alcazar where 14th ranked Fundacion Adepal (7-13) was defeated by ninth ranked Lleida Basquet (10-10) 79-72 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Ghanian guard Alhaji Mohammed (192-81, college: Louisville, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American swingman Mildon Ambres (198-84, college: S.Nazarene, agency: Impact Basketball) who added 20 points during the contest. German forward Kiril Wachsmann (203-83, college: Iona, agency: Edge Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Trinidad and Tobago power forward Duane Virgil (205-74, college: Murray St.) scored 16 points. Four Fundacion Adepal players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lleida Basquet moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Melilla and Navarra. Newly promoted Fundacion Adepal keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Lleida Basquet will meet at home higher ranked La Laguna (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fundacion Adepal will play against Ford Burgos (#3) and hope to secure a win.
