Important game to mention about took place in Patras. Fifth ranked Ikaroi Serron (7-4) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Olimpiada (5-6) 82-79 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Olimpiada. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Olimpiada won fourth quarter 24-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ikaroi Serron made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for forward Filipp Simeonidis (204-80, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Kostas Totsios (191-78) helped adding 19 points. Center Apost Koutroulias (206-76) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Sakis Veskoukis (195-80) scored 14 points. Five Ikaroi Serron and four Olimpiada players scored in double figures. Ikaroi Serron maintains fifth place with 7-4 record, which they share with Panelefsiniakos. Olimpiada at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Ermis Lagkada and AEK/Argous. Ikaroi Serron will play against league's second-placed Lavrio at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Olimpiada will play against Pagrati (#10) in Athens and hopes to get back on the winning track.
