The game in Warszawa was quite interesting. Third ranked PGE Turow (9-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Polonia Azbud (6-8). PGE Turow managed to secure a 5-point victory 76-71. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Polonia Azbud won fourth quarter 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Polonia Azbud 41-27 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized German forward Konrad Wysocki (201-82, college: Princeton, agency: Pro One Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian power forward Marko Brkic (206-82, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. PGE Turow's coach Jacek Winnicki allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Tony Easley (206-87, college: Murray St., agency: Pro One Sports) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and American-Puerto Rican guard Darnell Hinson (186-80, college: Northeastern St.) added 21 points, 7 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Polonia Azbud. PGE Turow has a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 9-4 record behind leader Energa Czarni. Polonia Azbud at the other side dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Anwil. PGE Turow will play against league's second-placed Asseco Prokom in Gdynia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Polonia Azbud will play at home against AZS Koszalin (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
