EMKL top team - TU/Rock (19-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Rapla (7-12) 89-75. The game was mostly controlled by TU/Rock. Rapla managed to win second period 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 26-of-32 charity shots (81.3 percent) during the game. TU/Rock outrebounded Rapla 39-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Rapla was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Callistus Eziukwu (208-85, college: Grand Valley St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and the former international center Vallo Allingu (206-78) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five TU/Rock players scored in double figures. TU/Rock's coach Indrek Visnapuu allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Raido Ringmets (204-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and forward Indrek Kajupank (197-88) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. TU/Rock have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-1 record. Newly promoted Rapla keeps the sixth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with TTU/Kalev II. TU/Rock will play against BC Rakvere (#4) on the road in the next round. Rapla will play against TTU/Kalev II in Tallinn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
