PLKK top team - Wisla Can-Pak (16-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked LKS Siemens (2-15) in Lodz 73-47. The game without a history. Wisla Can-Pak led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Wisla Can-Pak forced 24 LKS Siemens turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian guard Erin Phillips (173-85) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 6 assists. The former international center Ewelina Kobryn (193-82, agency: Data Plus Group) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Wisla Can-Pak's coach Jose Ignacio Hernandez felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Czech center Leona Jankowska (190-77) answered with 9 points and 10 rebounds and Nigerian center Ugochukwu Oha (193-82, college: George Washington) added 6 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for LKS Siemens. Wisla Can-Pak have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-1 record. LKS Siemens lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Wisla Can-Pak are looking forward to face Energa Torun (#4) at home in the next round. LKS Siemens will play against Utex Row (#12) in Rybnik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
