We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Gimnasia CR (5-5) was rolled over on the road by tenth ranked Monte Hermoso (5-6) 85-64. Monte Hermoso brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Byron Johnson (201-80, college: Belm.Abbey, agency: Dream Team Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocks. Guard Hernando Salles (188-79) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Nigerian-American power forward Reggie Okosa (206-80, college: La Salle) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and guard Fernando Funes (193-83) added 14 points in the effort for Gimnasia CR. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Monte Hermoso maintains tenth position with 5-6 record. Gimnasia CR at the other side dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. Monte Hermoso's next round opponent will be higher ranked Argentino (#8) in Junin and it may be quite challenging game.
