Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Umana Reyer (6-7) beat on the road 9th ranked Vomero Napoli (4-9) 64-58. Vomero Napoli was ahead by 11 points at the halftime before a 35-18 second half run of Umana Reyer. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vomero Napoli to just 3 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek guard Anastasia Kostaki (172-78) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds. Slovenian forward Daliborka Jokic (185-81) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Jamaican power forward Vanessa Gidden (193-85, college: Hofstra) answered with 9 points and 11 rebounds and Montenegrin guard Aleksandra Vujovic (182-80, agency: LBM Management) added 19 points in the effort for Vomero Napoli. Umana Reyer moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Comense. Vomero Napoli at the other side keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with Basket Parma and Priolo. Umana Reyer will play against Basket Parma (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Vomero Napoli will play against Club Atletico Faenza and hopes to get back on the winning track.
