Regular Season Round 20: Kalev/Cramo - TU/Rock 71-81

An interesting game for TU/Rock (19-1) which played road game in Tallinn against second-ranked Kalev/Cramo (17-3). First ranked TU/Rock managed to get a 10-point victory 81-71. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Kalev/Cramo. The game was mostly controlled by TU/Rock. Kalev/Cramo managed to win second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Callistus Eziukwu (208-85, college: Grand Valley St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). The former international center Vallo Allingu (206-78) contributed with 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International guard Reimo Tamm (185-84) replied with 21 points and international forward Joosep Toome (202-85) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kalev/Cramo. Kalev/Cramo's coach Aivar Kuusmaa rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. TU/Rock have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-1 record. Kalev/Cramo at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. TU/Rock are looking forward to face BC Rakvere (#4) on the road in the next round. Kalev/Cramo will have a break next round.
