An interesting game for Maccabi HBK (12-4) which hosted in Habikaa one of their biggest challengers Elitzur Yavne (10-6). Second ranked Maccabi HBK managed to get a 6-point victory 78-72. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Elitzur Yavne won third quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Steffon Bradford (200-78, college: Nebraska, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Swingman Elad Hofman (192-85) produced 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Chad Timberlake (194-84, college: Fairleigh Dickinson) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Maccabi HBK have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-4 record having just three points less than leader Hapoel T-A. Elitzur Yavne at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Maccabi HBK's next round opponent will be Kohav Yair (#7) in Kohav Yair where they are favorite. Elitzur Yavne will play at home against Hapoel Afula (#9).
