Regular Season Round 32: Svit - Inter Bratislava 83-69
Date: January 26, 2011
Rather expected game when 9th ranked Inter Bratislava (8-16) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Svit (11-13) 83-69. The game was mostly controlled by Svit. Inter Bratislava was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American guard Adam McCoy (193-86, college: N.Texas) who scored that evening 22 points and 5 assists and forward Vincent Polakovic (203-84, college: USF) supported him with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Svit's coach Milan Cernicky allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points by Serbian guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83) did not help to save the game for Inter Bratislava. Naturalized Ukrainian power forward Andrej Lukjanec (203-69) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Svit moved-up to sixth place. Inter Bratislava lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Prievidza. Svit will play against higher ranked Levice (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Inter Bratislava will play against the league's second-placed Nova Ves (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
