Round 11 in LigaA means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Comodoro R. where host Gimnasia CR (6-5) beat league's leader Atenas (8-4) 77-73 on Friday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 20-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American power forward Reggie Okosa (206-80, college: La Salle) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Center Diego Romero (209-82, college: Florida St.) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Gimnasia CR players scored in double figures. American forward Gregory Lewis (198-78, college: Winthrop, agency: Dream Team Management) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Bruno Labaque (183-77, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Atenas' coach Sebastian Gonzalez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gimnasia CR moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Quimsa. Atenas at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. They share it with Obras. They were replaced at the leadership position by Lanus. Atenas will play next round against strong Obras trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Gimnasia CR will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Quimsa in Santiado Estero.
