The game in Ningbo was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (11-9) played at the court of seventh ranked Bayi Fubang (12-8). Bayi Fubang defeated Zhejiang Guangsha Lions 99-88 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 99-88. Bayi Fubang made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Zhejiang Guangsha Lions turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. The former international center ZhiZhi Wang (214-79) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners and the former international center Ke Mo (210-82) chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Bayi Fubang have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Beijing and Jiangsu. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Bayi Fubang will meet Liaoning Hunters (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play against Shanghai Sharks and hope to secure a win.
