The game had a very big importance for third-ranked PGE Turow as it allowed them to take a leadership position. PGE Turow defeated second-best Asseco Prokom in Zgorzelec 72-63. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Asseco Prokom. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Asseco Prokom trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 25-16 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 63-72 at the end of the game. PGE Turow shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. It was a good game for Montenegrin guard Ivan Koljevic (185-84, agency: BeoExcell) who led his team to a victory with 12 points and 4 steals. Naturalized German forward Konrad Wysocki (201-82, college: Princeton, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. American guard Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke, agency: Alti Sport) answered with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Bulgarian swingman Filip Videnov (196-80, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points in the effort for Asseco Prokom. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PGE Turow have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion Asseco Prokom dropped to the third place with three games lost. Asseco Prokom will play next round against PBG Basket trying to get back on the winning streak. PGE Turow will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked AZS Koszalin on the road.
