Second-ranked Denain Voltaire (15-5) fell to twelfth ranked Vendee Challans (10-10) in overtime by four points 95-99 on Saturday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Denain Voltaire won third quarter 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Denain Voltaire used huge pressure winning it 27-22 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 6-10. They outrebounded Denain Voltaire 41-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. 29 personal fouls committed by Denain Voltaire helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Juwann James (198-87, college: JMU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Power forward Mathieu Boutry (201-78) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Vendee Challans' coach Emmanuel Body used a ten-player rotation in such tough game.
