There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Olimp MKS Start Lublin (6-13) won against 9th ranked MKS Znicz Basket (9-10) in Pruszkow 69-52 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 51-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Olimp MKS Start Lublin made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. MKS Znicz Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for forward Przemyslaw Luszczewski (195-80, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Guard Michal Sikora (182-80) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Przemyslaw Szymanski (198-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and guard Marek Szumelda-Krzycki (191-91, agency: Promotex) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for MKS Znicz Basket. Olimp MKS Start Lublin moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with SKK Siedlce. Loser MKS Znicz Basket dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Olimp MKS Start Lublin will face SKK Siedlce (#11) on the road in the next round.
