Very important is a road loss of second ranked Alkar Sinj (8-5) against eighth ranked Vrijednosnice OS (6-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Alkar Sinj was defeated by Vrijednosnice OS in a tough game in Darda 72-77. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Alkar Sinj won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Alkar Sinj was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Ivan Krolo (217-83) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winning side and forward Zvonimir Ridl (204-73) accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Vrijednosnice OS players scored in double figures. Forward Ivica Radic (207-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and forward Zeliko Zupic (205-81, college: Denver) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Alkar Sinj in the defeat. Vrijednosnice OS have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Alkar Sinj keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Borik. Vrijednosnice OS will play against bottom-ranked Trogir (#10) in Trogir in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Alkar Sinj will play at home against Dubrava (#9) in Zagreb and hopes to get back on the winning track.
