FEA Neas (#8) forced the game against Aris (#6) into an overtime, but lost by three points 76-79 on Sunday night. The game took place in Halkidon. But the guests from Thessaloniki were better at the end. FEA Neas trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 26-13 run in the last quarter tied the game at the end of regular time, But then they lost eventually overtime period 7-10. Aris made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Anna Spiridopoulou (182-88) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds. Canadian forward Stefany Skrba (188-87, college: Michigan) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Aris players scored in double figures. American forward Randee Henry (186-82, college: UNLV) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and the former international forward Evina Stamati (180-84) added 24 points in the effort for FEA Neas. Aris (8-5) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Panathinaikos and Panionios. FEA Neas at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Aris is looking forward to face Apollon (#7) in Ptolemaida in the next round. FEA Neas will play on the road against Panionios in Athens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
