BJ League top team - Hamamatsu Phoenix (26-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Shimane Magic (11-17) 67-60. Shimane Magic was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 23-10 third quarter run of Hamamatsu Phoenix. American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin, agency: Court Side) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Hamamatsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. American center Jeral Davis (216-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and American-Mexican guard Forrest Fisher (193-84, agency: GOTathletes) added 14 points in the effort for Shimane Magic. Hamamatsu Phoenix have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 26-2 record. Shimane Magic at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 17 games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix will have a break next round. Shimane Magic will play on the road against the league's leader Shiga Lakestars (#1).
