Regular Season Round 24: Den Bosch - Bergen op Zoom 82-87

The most important game in the last round took place in Den Bosch between third ranked Eiffel Towers (16-6) and eighth ranked Giants (9-15) on Sunday night. Eiffel Towers were defeated by Giants in a tough game at home 82-87. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Eiffel Towers. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Eiffel Towers won third quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 28 personal fouls committed by Eiffel Towers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jesse Kimbrough (183-82, college: Jacksonville) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 assists and forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Frank Turner (178-88, college: Canisius, agency: Court Side) with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St., agency: Warren Sports International) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Giants moved-up to seventh place, which they share with ABC. Eiffel Towers at the other side keep the third position with six games lost. Giants will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Eiffel Towers will play on the road against Magixx in Nijmegen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
