The game with biggest result difference took place in Xalapa. Local Halcones UV Xalapa (26-10) beat 5th ranked Halcones Rojos (25-11) 73-64 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Halcones Rojos. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-64. Halcones UV Xalapa outrebounded Halcones Rojos 45-34 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Italian-Uruguayan guard Leandro Garcia Morales (186-80, college: Texas A&M, agency: Interperformances) who scored 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international forward Victor Mariscal (198-72) chipped in 27 points. International guard Paul Stoll (178-85) produced 15 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and Panamanian power forward Jaime Lloreda (201-80, college: LSU) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests.
