Regular Season Round 15: Priolo - Umana Reyer 71-62

An interesting game took place in Priolo where higher ranked Umana Reyer (7-8) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Acer ERG Priolo (5-10) 71-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Umana Reyer. It looked good early as Umana Reyer took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Acer ERG Priolo had a 18-10 second period charge getting the lead and Umana Reyer was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-71. Acer ERG Priolo dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Umana Reyer's 28. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian guard Marija Eric (164-83) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 4 assists. Slovakian forward Sidney Spencer (191-85, college: Tennessee) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American power forward Nicole Ohlde (193-82, college: Kansas St.) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Greek guard Anastasia Kostaki (172-78) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for Umana Reyer in the defeat. Acer ERG Priolo moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Basket Parma. Umana Reyer at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Acer ERG Priolo will play against bottom-ranked Pallacanestro Pozzuoli (#12) at home in the next round. Umana Reyer will play against Club Atletico Faenza (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
