Eighth-ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (8-9) gave a tough game to first ranked Hapoel T-A (16-1) on Tuesday. The visitors from Tel-Aviv managed to secure only three-point victory 85-82. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ironi Ramat Gan. Ironi Ramat Gan trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 26-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-85 at the end of the game. Hapoel T-A forced 19 Ironi Ramat Gan turnovers. Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (201-84, college: Hofstra, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and American forward Brian Asbury (200-85, college: Miami (FL)) chipped in 25 points. American guard Albert Fisher (184-86, college: Kent St.) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and naturalized American power forward Isaac Rosefelt (205-85, college: St.Thomas, agency: Avi Zilberman) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Hapoel T-A maintains first place with 16-1 record. Ironi Ramat Gan at the other side dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Kohav Yair and Hapoel Afula. Hapoel T-A are looking forward to face Megido/Yokneam (#5) at home in the next round. Ironi Ramat Gan will play against the league's second-placed Maccabi HBK in Habikaa and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
